This information is collected based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) to respond to your inquiry. The data is stored in a secure Firestore database hosted by Google.

3.2. Usage Data (Server Log Files)

My website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. When you visit my site, the server automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits. These are:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Time of the server request

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract, and for the legitimate interest of ensuring the security and stability of the website.

4. Use of Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts, a service provided by Google LLC. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of my portfolio. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5. Data Security

I have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All data for the contact form is transmitted and stored encrypted using Firestore's security features. However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although I do my best to protect your personal information, I cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to my website.
